ICATS gives back to community with, Share the gift of L.I.F.E campaign

Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person. It is a gift of life that another person can be cherish. But it also, turns out that donating blood doesn’t just benefit recipients. There are health benefits for donors, too, on top of the benefits that come from helping others.

During the recently concluded “Share the Gift of L.I.F.E.” International Cabin Attendant Training School (ICATS) in partnership with Philippine Red Cross, Ms. Mishael Sucaldito a representative from Philippine Red cross shared that donating blood has benefits for your emotional and physical health. It can reduce stress, improve your emotional well-being, and lower risk of heart disease.With the theme “Share the gift of life,” the bloodletting activity was held at Unit 907-A East Tower of the Philippine Stock Exchange Center along Exchange Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

ICATS,  is a premiere flight attendant school and was established in 2009. The founders are Ms.  Princess Joy Garcia, Mr. Arthuro “Arth” De Leon and the late Ms. Carmelita “Armie” Guiao. They shared the same mission, passion and vision to help young trainees fulfill their dreams of becoming a Flight Attendant.

“The event is part of our corporate social responsibility and is our way of giving back to the community,” said Lou Aseron, International Cabin Attendant Training School marketing head.

International Cabin Attendant Training School (ICATS), the premiere flight attendant school recently partners with the Philippine Red Cross and had a bloodletting event that aims to promote awareness about blood donation and its importance in preserving L.I.F.E.

With the theme “Share the gift of life,” the bloodletting activity was held at Unit 907-A East Tower of the Philippine Stock Exchange Center along Exchange Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City from 9:00AM to 5:00 PM . “The event is part of our corporate social responsibility and is our way of giving back to the community,” said Lou Aseron, International Cabin Attendant Training School marketing head.ICATS

In addition to getting a free medical checkup and knowing their blood type, hemoglobin level, and blood pressure, donors received freebies and giveaways. Prior to donating blood, they were interviewed and examined to know if they are qualified. Complimentary food and souvenirs were given to donors during the event.

Qualified donors get a chance to join the raffle and with P5,000 worth gift vouchers from Aliah Travel and Tours. Among the donors Princess Malig, Virgie Monton and Anthony Santos bagged this vouchers.
